Un enano de la suerte muy cabezota / A very stubborn lucky dwarf

Al fin sé quién es el responsable de los ruidos nocturnos en casa, esos cracks, brooom, criiick, toc toc... al principio los achacaba a almas herrantes, fantasmas o poltergeist incluso a algún duendecillo travieso, por supuesto desechando las tan manidas y peregrinas teorías de que se trata de simples dilataciones de la estructura del piso, ¡JA!.

Pero no, jamás se me hubiese imaginado tener a un enano minero ¡entre las paredes! y mira que he visto cosas...

El caso es que éste pequeño hombrecillo parecía realmente perdido y confuso cuando le sorprendí abriendo un pequeño boquete entre la cocina y el dormitorio de mi hijo...
Habla poco ( debe ser por estar tanto tiempo sólo abriendo túneles) lo poco que he podido sonsacarle es que se llama Woodrow y es al parecer un enano minero de la suerte.

Le he dicho por activa y por pasiva que en mi piso no hay minerales ni piedras preciosas, pero sin duda parece hacer gala de la testarudez propia de éstas criaturas y no ceja en su empeño de abrir boquetes en casa ( mi mujer está un poco harta ya sinceramente). Créeme, es un enano de la suerte muy cabezota.

En fin, me he comprometido a buscarle un hogar donde pueda traer prosperidad y encontrar minerales y esos cachivaches que busca con tanto ahínco ( no sé aún muy bien para qué) y él a su vez me ha dado su palabra de honor de que traerá prosperidad a la casa donde se le acoja. Eso sí lo hemos dejado por escrito en un contrato que llevará siempre consigo y que deberá firmar la persona que lo adopte para hacer efectivo el trato.

Me ha costado horrores que posara para las fotografías, es bastante tímido ( y con una extraña preocupación por el tamaño de su nariz en las fotos de perfil ).

Si hay alguien interesado en acogerle por favor que se ponga en contacto conmigo lo antes posible... mi casa parece ya un queso gruyere.

Finally  I know who is responsible for the night noises at home, those cracks, brooom, criiicks, knock knock ... at first I blamed on herrantes souls, ghosts or poltergeists even some naughty pixie, of course discarding strange theories that try to explain it as to simple expansion of the building´s structure, HA !.

But no, I never would have imagined having a miner dwarf between the walls! and believe me I have seen lots of things already...


The fact is that this little man seemed lost and confused,really surprised when I found him opening a small gap between the kitchen and my son´s bedroom ...
He speaks little (must be because of the understandable loneliness opening tunnels all night long) the little I could get is that his name is Woodrow and he´s apparently a dwarf miner of luck.

I told him thousands of times that in my apartment no minerals or precious stones can be found ( I wish) but it certainly seems that he shows off the own stubbornness of these creatures and he doesn´t give up in his efforts to open gaps at home (my wife is a little tired sincerely). Believe me qhen I say he is a very stubborn lucky dwarf.


Anyway, I am committed to seek a home where he can bring prosperity and find minerals and junk he´s always looking for (not sure yet fine for what) and he in return gave me his word of honor that he will bring prosperity to the house where he is host. Yet we have decided to write a contract that he will always bring with himself and it is to be signed by the person who will adopt him to implement the deal.

It took me ages to make him pose for photographs, he is quite shy (and with a strange worry about the size of his nose in the profile photos).
